Counsellor: Nick Vinyard

Confidential, Quality Care

Are you struggling with issues related to addiction, anxiety or depression? Finding it hard to cope with major life changes? There comes a time when help is needed from a certified professional. I’m a qualified counsellor working in the Bishops Stortford area, and I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing, change, growth and recovery.

I offer a range of evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and more. I work in a pluralistic way, which means I draw on a wide range of methods, to best meet an individual clients needs.

Covering Bishops Stortford, Great Dunmow, Saffron Walden, Ware, Buntingford, Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, and all surrounding areas.

What To Expect

Firstly, you can expect a warm and friendly approach, I will seek to understand what it is that you hope to achieve from counselling and we will work together to have the best chance of achieving that.  Therapy is a healing process that requires work by both the client and counsellor. I know through experience that when these relationships work well, healing takes place, positive change is born, clients are empowered and lives are changed for the better.

I recognise it may be important for you to see a counsellor quickly. I can usually arrange our first session within a week of you contacting me. I will offer an initial consultation so that you can find out if counselling is for you, and to see if we feel we can work together. I understand that scheduling can be hard sometimes – so I offer sessions on weekends and evenings.

Further information about sessions and fees can be found here. You can find out a bit more about me, and how I work as a counsellor. You might also like to get an idea of what to expect from a first session.

If you have any queries or questions, please feel free to contact me.
